GiClée Prints

Giclée (pronounced jhee-CLAY) printing uses the latest inkjet print technology to create superior, long-lasting prints. If you want a beautiful fine art reproduction, you want your print to be a Giclée print.  The key elements required to conform to a Giclée standard are:

1.                 A high-resolution digital image of the original artwork of at least 300 pixel per inch (PPI)

Our digital images are produced from a Hasselblad multi shot digital camera operated in a photographic studio environment.  The system produces a 400 Mega Pixel (MP) digital image file with real RGB colour data for each pixel.  This comprehensive information allows every subtle nuance of the original painting to be captured and reproduced and will facilitate the superior reproduction upto 100% of the original artwork size.

2.                An ink-jet printer with a minimum set of 10 archival pigment inks

Our pigment ink-jet printers ensure colour-faithful long-lasting prints of digital artwork and artwork reproduction. We only use pigment inks of the very best archival quality.

3.             Museum grade archival canvas

Our archival canvas prints are stretched over wooden frameworks and are ready to hang directly on your wall. We use premium-quality archival stretcher bars (tannin or tannic acid free).
